Turnstiles & Bollards

A turnstile, also called a baffle gate or turnstyle, is a form of gate which allows one person to pass at a time. It can also be made to enforce one-way traffic of people.  In addition, a turnstile can also restrict passage only to people who insert a coin, a ticket, a pass, etc., for additional security and control.  Turnstiles can be used for secured entry control, asset protection, patron counting, and crowd control.  Optical turnstiles, full height turnstiles, waist high turnstiles or pedestrian gates all available to meet your physical access control requirements.

A bollard is a short post used to create a protective or architectural perimeter.  Bollards can be used as a visual guide or mark boundaries.  They come in a wide variety of shapes and styles to accentuate or visually stand out in their settings.  Bollards can be constructed to physically block vehicle incursion, protecting people and property.  Bollards can be made from almost any material, depending on their need and function but, most bollards are metal, stone cement or plastic.  We also offer operable retractable bollards (also known as telescopic bollards) that are movable to allow vehicular access without needing storage.  These bollards can be lowered into the ground automatically.  This is especially helpful for mixed-use public spaces, as they can be reaised and lowered for different events, to allow vehicle traffic or to grant access to seasonal places.
